I
am going to be perfectly honest with you: PADI GMT Kinetic was not on
my 'wanted to buy' Seiko list. I have not seen one in person, and was
unfamiliar with the calibre. Additionally, the Seiko sales rep made
absolutely no effort to introduce this watch to me.
The credit for this surprising discovery goes to the customer who
ordered one just before Christmas. And around 10am today (Dec 29) PADI
has arrived!
I just can't believe my eyes - and I am confiscating the watch for
myself. (Customer is now going to wait until next delivery, sorry). What
a keeper!
The case size is 48mm at the widest point, but the bezel is only 43mm.
And it is BLUE! So is the dial with 3 small red strokes and
unmistakeable red skeleton GMT hand. Yes, it is a divers watch but my
goodness, it will make a fantastic daily wearer.
One thing is certain: photos did not do it any justice! This Seiko looks
and feels like a $5K Swiss watch. The lobster case with sunburst
pattern graining reminds me of the 1970s Omega Mark II. The silicon
strap is superbly comfortable and perfect fit for my 20.5cm wrist.
